Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 3 June 2026

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to every person who accesses NalieTech Schools — schools, staff, learners, parents, guardians, alumni and any guest the school invites.

2. You must not

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of Zimbabwean law (including the Cyber & Data Protection Act 2021 and the Education Amendment Act 2020).
  • Upload, share or generate content that is defamatory, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, or that harasses, bullies, intimidates or threatens any person — especially a learner.
  • Access, attempt to access, or share data belonging to learners, staff or parents outside your role and permissions.
  • Share login credentials, by-pass MFA, or impersonate another user.
  • Interfere with the service: probing, scanning, scraping, denial-of-service, exploiting vulnerabilities, or reverse-engineering.
  • Upload malware, ransomware, spyware, or content that infringes intellectual property rights.
  • Use AI features to generate content that grades, disciplines or judges a learner without human review by an authorised member of staff.
  • Use bulk-messaging (WhatsApp, SMS, email) for commercial spam, political campaigning, or messages unrelated to the school's official business.

3. Safeguarding learners

Any content or behaviour that could endanger a learner — grooming, sexual content involving minors, sharing of a minor's identifying information outside the school's safeguarding policy — will result in immediate suspension and a report to the school's Designated Safeguarding Lead and, where required, to law enforcement.

4. AI use

AI-generated insights, drafts and recommendations are decision-support, not decisions. Final responsibility for grades, discipline, fees, references and ministry submissions rests with the authorised human at the school. Do not paste personal data of a third party into AI prompts unless the school's data-processing instructions permit it.

5. Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate access without prior notice for serious or repeated breaches. Audit logs are retained for 7 years and may be shared with the school, regulators or law enforcement where the law requires.

6. Reporting abuse

Report suspected breaches to your school's safeguarding lead and to tichremias@nalietech.com.
